True Concord Voices & Orchestra took the stage at Lincoln Center's Alice Tully Hall Friday, Sept. 11, to commemorate the 14th anniversary of the 9/11 terrorist attacks.ย
The Tucson ensemble performed Stephen Paulus's "Prayers and Remembrances," a piece the group commissioned from the famed composer in 2010. They performed the world premiere on Sept. 11, 2011, at Centennial Hall.ย
"Prayers and Remembrances" anchors True Concord's CD "Far in the Heavens," which also includes other previously unrecorded Paulus works. Paulus died last October, 18 months after suffering a devastating stroke.
