Among the dishes we will miss from FioRito is this rich Cioppino, a dish of mussels, shrimp, fish, calamari, root vegetables, garlic. shallots, fennel and herbs in a heavenly white wine sauce.

FioRito's, a longtime mainstay in Tucson's ever contracting Italian restaurant scene, has closed.

A "For Sale" sign is slapped on the restaurant at

2702 E. Grant Road, which had been in business nearly 30 years as far as we can recall.

The restaurant has been shuttered since November.
