Tucson’s culinary chops will get national attention once again this Thursday, November 30, when the city is featured in Chef Jordan Andino's Cooking Channel series “Late Nite Eats.”
Andino is a Filipino-American chef who came up working at such established restaurants and Jean Georges and Thomas Keller's The French Laundry. In 2016, Andino opened the popular 2nd City restaurant in New York City, which labels itself as a "Filipino taqueria."
He was also named one of People magazine's sexiest male chefs of 2017.
"Late Nite Eats" follows Andino as he makes his way to late-night dining spots in cities across North America.
In Tucson, that meant eating at several places, including on a piled-high nacho plate as Pasco Kitchen on East University, pasta with chorizo and crab at Dante's Fire on East Grant, and Cajun gumbo and frog legs at The Parish Gastropub on North Oracle.
The Tucson episode of "Late Nite Eats" premieres Thursday at 8 p.m. The Parish, 6453 N. Oracle Road, will be holding a viewing party from 8 p.m to midnight on The Cooking Channel.
