Zoo Lights

Zoo Lights starts next Thursday. Santa Claus will make appearances through Dec. 23.

The holiday season is ramping up to full swing, with many of Tucson's memorable events and attractions up and running.

But our Tucson traditions aren't as local as we might think, now that USA Today has caught on to all our town has to offer, saying that winter is Tucson's "high season."

USA Today's "10 Best Holiday Attractions in Tucson: Places to Bask in Southwestern Glow" says that because of our great weather and unique Southwestern cultural attractions, Tucsonans have no shortage of options when it comes to holiday fun for people of all ages.

Some of USA Today's favorites include, Winterhaven Festival of Lights, Fourth Avenue Winter Street Fair, A Southwest Nutcracker, Zoo Lights at Reid Park, Christmas at San Xavier Annual Concert and Luminaria Nights at Tucson Botanical Garden.
