Summer officially began on Tuesday, but if your calendar clocks summer as starting after Memorial Day and running through to Labor Day, weโ€™re four weeks in.

To celebrate, weโ€™ve come up with four concerts to rock your first full month of summer.

  • Thursday, June 22: It’s fright night at the AVA at Casino del Sol when we “Spend the Night With Alice Cooper.” The Phoenix shock-rocker takes the stage, 5655 W. Valencia Road, at 8 p.m. $35-$75 — or go big with VIP packages from $190 to $700 — at tickets.casinodelsol.com.
  • Friday, June 23: Tucson’s own widely traveled rock ’n’ roll ambassador/troubadour Brian Lopez is home and back at his favorite stomping grounds, Club Congress, 311 E. Congress St. Birds and Arrows, also from Tucson, opens the show at 8 p.m. $8 in advance at ticketfly.com, $10 at the door. This is a 21-and-older show.
  • Saturday, June 24: Rialto Theatre, 318 E. Congress St., is hosting 1990s rapper/hip-hop artist Warren G in “The G Funk Experience.” EZ Goin’ opens the show at 8. $23 in advance at ticketfly.com, $25 at the door.
  • Sunday, June 25: We’re heading to 191 Toole at 191 W. Toole Ave., to see the legendary New Orleans jazz outfit Dirty Dozen Brass Band play a 35th anniversary show presented by Rialto Theatre. The brassy blast starts at 8 p.m. and tickets are $22 in advance at ticketfly.com, $25 at the door.
