Get a head start on spooky season with a downtown Tucson ghost tour.

Starting Friday, Sept. 6, and on select nights September through November, the 90-minute walking tours will head out from the Monsoon Room, 201 N. Court Ave., at 7 p.m. to learn about paranormal activities at local sites, including electronic voice phenoms and electronic magnetic field.

While the Tucson Ghost Company doesn’t guarantee ghost sightings, participants may hear from witnesses like security guards and vendors who have had paranormal experiences.

Sites along the tour include Old Town Artisans shops, the Historic Pima County Court House, Hotel Congress and other buildings, a news release said.

Wear good walking shoes, bring water and a flashlight. Tickets are $25.

While the tours are open to all ages, anyone under 18 must be accompanied by a parent.

For those seeking a little more action, the business also offers ghost hunts that will take you inside historic Tombstone buildings — The Undertakers Expresso Bar and Hotel Tombstone — in an effort to connect with spirits.

The hunts are open to ages 12 and up and cost $30 per person. They will run on various dates starting Sept. 6 through December.

Ghost hunts have previously been held at Tucson’s Old Town Artisans shops, the Mescal movie set in Benson, the Arizona History Museum in Tucson and the Tubac Presidio State Historic Park.

Find tour dates and make reservations, which are required, for the tours and hunts at tucsonghostcompany.com.

The locally-owned Tucson Ghost Company has been offering downtown tours since 2013, later expanding into year-round paranormal investigations, ghost hunting and other special events, a news release said.
