After spending 10 years on Fourth Avenue, restaurant and bar Ermanos announced this week that it would be closing.
Ermanos, located at 220 N. Fourth Ave., announced its closure with an Instagram post Monday, thanking its staff for their hard work over the years.
“Ten years ago, we opened with a dream: to create a home away from home, a space to welcome and nourish you regardless of the occasion,” the post said. “It is with heavy hearts that we share the difficult decision to close.”

The main dining area at Ermanos features long sleek black booths lining the exposed brick wall.
Brothers Mark and Eric Erman opened the spot in 2015, making a name for themselves over the years for their gourmet take on bar food and the space’s unique atmosphere. Owners couldn’t immediately be reached on Monday.
In addition to dining, Ermanos also opened a speakeasy-style bar toward the back of the restaurant in 2020. Portal Cocktails quickly became a hit with customers, thanks to its inventive design, ambient lighting and creative drink menu.

Portal Cocktails is a bar within a bar at 220 N. Fourth Ave.
Tucsonans shared their heartbreak for the closure on social media, with many stating that Ermanos was a staple spot for them in the Fourth Avenue area.
Ermanos’ last day of service will be Saturday, Feb. 22. Hours are 11:30 a.m. to 10 p.m. Monday-Wednesday and 11:30 a.m. to 11 p.m. Thursday-Saturday.
“To say goodbye is an incredible heartbreak — letting go of the dream we built that allowed all of us to come together,” the post said. “We are blessed to have had your support which brought us great joy and meaningful opportunities to grow, adapt, and contribute, always to better serve you.”
