The kids can learn all about horse behavior, horse care and grooming, anatomy and horseback riding during week-long summer camps at Rolling Hills Riding Academy, 9015 Camino De Anza, Oro Valley.

Crazy for Horses Kids Camp is for children ages six to 13. The cost for each one-week session is $200.

The first part of each day is spent on horseback. Western riding is introduced on the first day, English riding on the second. Kids get to choose which style they prefer to ride for the rest of the week.

Helmets and boots in different styles and sizes are available for loan.

Camps include crafts, trail rides and games on horseback. β€œExperienced and enthusiastic staff” focus on helping campers build a safe and positive relationship with their horses.

This is just one of many summer programs offered to kids in Tucson in a variety of subjects, from arts to science to sports.
