Several men lead a chant while in a circle as local Muslims celebrate Eid al-Fitr, the celebration of the breaking of the fast marking the end of Ramadan at the Tucson Convention Center on July 6, 2016. The chant included the phrase, "God is Great," which they repeated many times. Ramadan is where the faithful observe a month of fasting from dawn to dusk and it is one of the Five Pillars of Islam. Several thousand attended the Eid prayer.

Some Tucson Muslims will observe Eid al-Adha, or the feast of sacrifice, Monday, Sept. 12.

The Muslim Community Center of Tucson, 5100 N. Kevy Place, will begin prayers at 8:30 a.m. with games and breakfast to follow.

The Islamic Center of Tucson will begin prayers 9 a.m. at the Tucson Convention Center, 260 S. Church Ave.
