Tucson Diocese to celebrate
decades of service

The Roman Catholic Diocese of Tucson will celebrate a jubilee Mass for almost 20 members of various religious orders Sunday.

The 10 a.m. Mass at St. Augustine Cathedral, 192. Stone Ave., will honor those who have spent years of their lives serving in a religious order, according to the diocese’s weekly “Monday Memo” put out by Bishop Gerald F. Kicanas.

Order members such as priests and nuns will celebrate anywhere from 25 to 70 years of service. This is also the Year of Consecrated Life for the Roman Catholic Church.

At 4 p.m. Monday, she will present “What Is It About the Gays?” at the University of Arizona Hillel Foundation, 1245 E. Second St. The 7 p.m. talk at the Tucson Jewish Community Center, 3800 E.
