The Awam Tibetan Buddhist Institute, 3500 E. Speedway, will host a movie and potluck night 6 to 8:30 p.m. Friday, Aug. 19.

The film "Destroyer of Illusion: The Secret World of a Tibetan Lama" explores a Tibetan Buddhist dance, according to press materials.

The institute requests viewers bring a donation and a dish to share.
