Awam Tibetan Buddhist Institute

Pielstick hasn’t seen a lot of collaboration between the various Buddhist groups in town, though he and others are making efforts to change that.

The Awam Tibetan Buddhist Institute, 3400 E. Speedway, will begin a five-week summer class 1 p.m. Sunday June 26.

The class "The 37 Bodhisattva Practices" is based on a DVD of teachings by Dzogchen Ponlop Rinpoche. Nalandabodhi Tucson will also join, according to press materials.

Dean Pielstick and Blaze Mason will facilitate.

The cost is $50 total or $10 each week.
