Ok, Mother's Day is this weekend.

What are you doing for Mom?

If brunch and shopping isn't your mom's, wife's or grandma's style, we have some unique ideas for you. They're inexpensive and you don't need reservations.

Spend a day outdoors in the gardens of Tohono Chul Park, 7366 N. Paseo Del Norte. All mothers and grandmothers get free entry all day. The park is open from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Hungry? There's a brunch buffet at the Garden Bistro. Click here for more info.Β

Does mom like beer? Send her to beer school at Casa Video and Film Bar, 2905 E. Speedway. Starting at 6 p.m., she'll learn the basics of beer knowledge. The $12 admission includes a flight of beer. Plus, she'll get fun homework. Click here for more info.Β

If the mother in your life is a fan of comics and comic art, take her to Constant Con, a cartooning and comic art gallery with work from local artists, located at 117 N. Sixth Ave. They're having a free local comic book day. Artists will be signing works from 2-6 p.m. Click here for info.Β

Get the whole family, grab a blanket or lawn chairs and enjoy Tucson 'Pops' Orchestra under the stars at DeMeester Outdoor Performance Center at Reid Park, 1100 S. Randolph Way. It starts at 7 p.m. and it's free.Β
