Dressed in her finest Princess Pea attire, 1-year-old Lilyanna Baker grabs some candy at the 2013 Halloween Boo Bash at the Clements Center.

What’s sweeter than a bucket of candy?

Free admission to Reid Park Zoo.

Ok, maybe it’s not quite as sweet, but not having all that sugar around the house is better for the teeth and the waist line.

That’s why Tucson Medical Center has partnered with Reid Park Zoo to trade free tickets for the Halloween loot of the first 100 children to show up, starting at 9 a.m. Sunday, Nov. 1.

Here’s the skinny: Show up at the entrance of Reid Park Zoo, 3400 E. Zoo Court, at 9 a.m. with wrapped leftover candy or what you collected Saturday night and swap it for free admission for one adult and one child. Tickets are good for one year, so you can use them now or later.

Candy will be donated to The Salvation Army for its youth programs and to the Barney Figueroa VFW Post 6271 and to support military heroes.
