A newlywed couple honeymooning in Nassau met a woman who described her home in Tucson, and it sounded wonderful. Later they bought a house and found out it was the one they had heard about.

The home of Mr. and Mrs. William H. Horwitz, 3815 Calle Barcelona is of adobe construction in Spanish Colonial style. Climbing ivy winds around the entry way. Stacked tile roof, concrete beams over door and windows are a trademark of the architect, the late Josias Thomas Joesler.

Typical of the style of Josias Thomas Joesler, architect for the home, are the weathervane and false turret in outside construction. Stacked tile roof and painted concrete beams over windows are seen here. A huge mimosa tree is at right.

Hand-hewn mahogany beams are seen here at the entrance to the living room of the home. Wrought iron bars above windows provide rods for draperies.

Bright and airy is the activity room of the home which has a cement floor, adobe walls painted white. An antique samovar is seen on table at far end.

Hall between kitchen and activity room has been earmarked as an art gallery for the children. Work done in their school art classes is brought home and mounted for family and guests to admire.
