Anthony Aldinger, aka “Mr. Nature,” is the latest Ben’s Bells recipient for his dedication to teaching kids through songs.

• What: Ben’s Bells promote kindness and community involvement. Each week a person who makes Tucson better is “belled.”

• Last week’s recipient: Anthony Aldinger, aka “Mr. Nature.”

• Nominated by: Coppelia Tarantal.

• Why: For his dedication to teaching kids through songs and performances about the outdoors. Aldinger is a local children’s musician and he teaches kindness, respect, love of the outdoors and love for each other through his songs, Tarantal wrote. He donates his time to perform on many occasions in front of children. “He has become an important role model in the lives of the children he plays for and he has a big smile and joyful heart,” Tarantal wrote in the nomination letter. He collects food for food banks at all of his performances. “He is laying the foundation for kindness in some of our youngest citizens and their parents,” Tarantal wrote.
