The driver of a grey sedan was seriously injured in a Tuesday morning crash involving a tractor trailer.

The driver of one of two vehicles involved in a crash early Tuesday morning was taken to a local hospital with serious injuries, officials said.

Shortly after 6 a.m., Marana police arrived on the scene of a two-vehicle crash and West Avra Valley Road and North Sandario Road, and learned that a grey sedan had collided with a tractor trailer, said Marana Police Department spokesman, Officer David Danielson.

Paramedics transported the driver of the sedan to Banner University Medical Center with non-life threatening injuries, Danielson said.

Both roads were closed for several hours, while police investigated and cleared the scene.
