A bicyclist has died several days after Tucson police say she was struck in a hit-and-run crash while riding along East Speedway.
About 3:30 a.m. Oct. 12, Julie Billeter, 53, was riding a bicycle east on Speedway near North Rosemont Boulevard when she turned in front of an eastbound vehicle and was struck from behind.
Police were notified Monday that Billeter died.
The driver in the crash fled, Tucson police said in a news release.
No description of the vehicle has been released.
The crash is still being investigated.
