Travel restrictions on tap at I-19-Ajo interchange

There will be overnight lane and ramp closures beginning Wednesday night and Thursday night at Interstate 19’s interchange with Ajo Way.

The southbound I-19 on-ramp will close to accommodate bridge resurfacing and sign installation from 10 p.m. to 5 a.m. Wednesday and Thursday evenings. The Arizona Department of Transportation recommends as alternative southbound I-19 access the Interstate 10-22nd/29th Street interchange and the Irvington Road entrance.

The left lane of both northbound and southbound I-19 at Ajo will also be closed Thursday evening to make way for the removal of a concrete barrier.
