A Sierra Vista man accused of attacking and kidnapping a woman at an inn was arrested Tuesday.

Brian Sullivan, 51, was booked into the Cochise County jail on suspicion of attempted sexual assault, kidnapping and assault, according to a Sierra Vista Police Department news release.

On July 4 shortly before 7 p.m., officers responded to the Regency Inn & Suites at 250 Carroll Drive to a report of a woman who was attacked, police said.

During the investigation, officers found out that the woman had been held against her will inside Sullivan's room for an extended period of time.

After speaking to a witness, Sullivan was taken into custody without incident at the the scene, police said.
