First-grader's donation to help homeless gets her belled

• Ben’s Bells promote kindness and community involvement. Each week a person who makes Tucson better is “belled.”

• Why:
• For donating her collection of quarters to Habitat for Humanity of Tucson. On the day before she was to start first grade, Delilah wanted to help families in need. She took her quarters to the Habitat for Humanity offices and donated $150 to the organization, Nunes wrote in the nomination letter.

“She just couldn’t really handle the idea that there are families like hers that don’t have homes,” her father, Jeb, said. “I’m so proud of her.”
