Two men were killed when their motorcycles crashed early Saturday morning on Tucson's northwest side.

Two motorcyclists were killed in a crash early this morning in Marana,ย  authorities said.

About 3 a.m., Northwest Fire and Marana Police departments responded to North Thornydale Road, just north of West Orange Grove Road, to reports of two motorcycles that collided, said Capt. Brian Keeley, a fire department spokesman.

The riders, men believed to be in their 20s, were found on the pavement. One man was declared dead as soon as rescuers arrived. The other died shortly after resuscitation efforts had started, officials say.

Details of the wreck were not immediately available. The investigation is ongoing.

Anyone who may have witnessed the crash or has more information is asked to contact the Marana Police Department at 382-2000.
