Two people suffered serious injuries when a Jeep drove into a west-side business on Friday afternoon, authorities said.

Tucson police received the call shortly before 3 p.m. and responded to reports of a Jeep that had run through the front of Preferred Homecare, near West Grant Road and Interstate 10, said Sgt. Pete Dugan, a department spokesman.

The driver hit the accelerator, drove up over the curb and crashed into the building.

He wasn’t injured and remained at the scene, Dugan said.

Two people who were in the building were transported to a hospital with serious but not life-threatening injuries.

Another person was transported with minor injuries, and a fourth person was treated at the scene, Dugan said.

The circumstances surrounding the incident were under investigation by TPD traffic detectives.
