Deputies arrested 26 people on suspicion of criminal trespass during a protest over the war in Gaza, the Pima County Sheriff’s Department says.

More than two dozen people were arrested Thursday morning during a demonstration outside of Raytheon in the University of Arizona Tech Park on Tucson’s southeast side, officials say.

Deputies were called about 7:30 a.m. to the protest over the war in Gaza, the Pima County Sheriff’s Department said in a news release. The tech park is located near South South Rita Road near Interstate 10.

β€œMultiple demonstrators entered private property, blocked the roadways and prevented employees from entering and leaving the facility,” the release said.

Deputies arrested 26 people on suspicion of criminal trespass. Those arrested were cited and released, the news release said.
