A man riding an off-road motorcycle involved in a collision last week has died, the Pima County Sheriff's Department says.
The crash happened about 8:15 p.m. June 29, when Jesse W. Becerra, 40, was riding the motorcycle on West Lambert Lane and collided with a vehicle near West Sonoran Sands Lane, in a neighborhood west of Interstate 10 near West Avra Valley Road.
Investigators were notified Tuesday that Becerra had died at the hospital, the department said in a news release.
Investigators say the off-road motorcycle was not street legal, lacked lighting and Becerra was not wearing a helmet at the time of the crash, the release said.
Neither driver exhibited signs of impairment, the release said.
The investigation continues.
