A 50-year-old man was killed in a two-vehicle crash Monday afternoon on Tucson's south side, authorities say.
Marco Antonio Rivera Jr., 50, was making a left turn from East Ajo Way into a parking lot when the Nissan Altima he was driving was struck by a westbound Ford F-250 pickup truck, the Tucson Police Department said Tuesday in a news release.
Rivera died at the crash scene between South Kino Parkway and South Country Club Road.
The 55-year-old pickup driver was not injured, the release said.
Failure to yield to oncoming traffic while making the left turn was determined to be the biggest contributing factor in the crash, the release said.
The investigation continues.
