A pedestrian was taken to the hospital with serious injuries Tuesday morning, after he was struck by a car in midtown.

Police are investigating a midtown crash that left a pedestrian seriously injured, officials said.

Paramedics have transported the man to a local hospital to be treated for his injuries, according to a tweet from the Tucson Fire Department.

Eastbound lanes of East Grant Road are shut down from Dodge to Haskell while police investigate the crash, Sgt. Pete Dugan, a Tucson Police Department spokesman wrote in a tweet.

Drivers are advised to use northbound or southbound Dodge to get around the crash.
