A motorcyclist was killed Monday evening when he was struck by a vehicle that was making a left turn, Tucson police say.
Randall Jacob Miller, 29, was riding a 2022 Kawasaki south on North Wilmot Road about 6:30 p.m. when he was struck by a northbound 2014 Toyota Rav4 that was turning left at East Fairmount Street, just north of East Speedway, Tucson police said Tuesday in a news release.
Miller was taken to St. Joseph’s Hospital, where he was pronounced dead. Miller was wearing a helmet, but lacked the proper motorcycle endorsement associated with his driver’s license, the release said.
The 19-year-old driver of the Toyota suffered minor injuries, police said. She was cited for causing death by a moving violation, a misdemeanor, the release said.
