A 1-year-old girl died Sunday evening in Willcox after a truck hit her.Β
The driver of a Dodge pickup truck was backing out of a residence on the 2100 block of Knagge Lane around 7:20 p.m. when the truck ran over the girl, the Cochise County Sheriff's Office said.
She was taken to the Northern Cochise Community Hospital for treatment, but was pronounced dead in the emergency room.Β
The sheriff's office is investigating the incident.Β
