A woman was stabbed on Tucson's south side yesterday evening and officers are still attempting to locate a suspect, officials said.

The incident occurred shortly after 6 p.m. on Monday, June 25 behind a business at 315 W. Irvington Rd. between South Sixth and Twelfth avenues, said Sgt. Kimberly Bay, a Tucson police spokesperson.

The woman was taken to a hospital with non-life threatening injuries, Bay said. The woman told officers she did not know the suspect.
