Passports

The University of Arizona’s Passport Office will be open Saturday, Sept. 23, to accommodate those who can’t get their passports processed during the week.

Saturday’s hours are from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. and the office is at 935 N. Tyndall Ave.

Hours of operation are usually 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Friday, but Saturday’s Passport Day was organized to accommodate those in work or school during the week.

The UA Passport Office processed almost 6,500 U.S. passports in 2016, with requests peaking in the spring and dropping in the fall, so UA Passports is encouraging everyone to take advantage of the fall lull.

Processing takes about four to six weeks so those who apply now can receive their passports before the holiday season.

No appointment is necessary, but documentation including proof of citizenship, identity and a photo are required. Passport photos are available on site and cost $10.

Passports cost $110 if 16 years old and older and $80 under 16. There is also a $25 execution fee for each passport.
