An Obregon, Sonora man was taken into custody at a Nogales port of entry when federal officers found nearly $460,000 worth of heroin in his motorcycle's gas tank.

The 32-year-old man was taken into custody at the Dennis DeConcini crossing when a drug-sniffing dog alerted officers to the fuel tank, according to a U.S. Customs and Border Protection news release Wednesday.

Officers found nearly 30 pounds of heroin in the tank.

The drugs and BMW motorcycle were seized and the man was turned over to U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement's Homeland Security Investigations.
