A 33-year-old man was killed in a crash early Tuesday morning in midtown, Tucson police say.
Carlsten Dale White was driving a grey 2011 Nissan Murano south on North Campbell Avenue about 4 a.m. when the car collided with a westbound gold 2015 Jeep Cherokee at the East Grant Road intersection, Tucson police said in a news release.
White, who along with a passenger was not wearing a seatbelt, died at the crash scene, the release said.
A passenger in the Nissan and both the driver and passenger in the Jeep were injured in the crash and sent to the hospital with life-threatening injuries, police said.
Police continue to investigate, but they say speeding by both vehicles was a factor in the crash. Detectives are still working to determine the traffic light sequence at the time of the wreck and to determine if impairment was a factor, the release said.
