A 73-year-old bicyclist died three days after he was struck by a pickup truck while riding in the bicycle lane along East Grant Road, Tucson police say.
Louis Luke Golden was struck about 7 p.m. June 4, while riding in the bicycle lane in the 800 block of East Grant Road, police said Monday in a news release.
He died at the hospital June 7, the release said.
In the crash, Golden was struck while riding west on Grant when the driver of a 2004 Ford F-350 moved into the right-turn-only lane. The unidentified driver told police he did not see Golden due to glare from the setting sun, the release said.
The crash is still being investigated.
