A 22-year-old motorcyclist traveling about 100 miles per hour on Tucson's northwest side Tuesday evening was killed in a crash with an SUV making a U-turn, authorities say.
Liam Gulyas was speeding on North Thornydale Road about 5:50 p.m. when he tried to swerve around an SUV making a U-turn near a neighborhood street north of West Massingale Road, the Pima County Sheriff's Department said Wednesday in a news release.
Gulyas struck the side of the vehicle and was killed, the release said.
The unidentified SUV driver was not injured.
There are no pending charges, the release said.
