A 37-year-old man was struck and killed Saturday night as he crossed a street in midtown, Tucson police said.
Jonny Sanchez was struck by 2004 Chevrolet Silverado about 11:15 p.m. as he tried to cross South Country Club at East 18th, near Reid Park, police said in a news release.
Sanchez was in, or near, an unmarked crosswalk when he was struck by the southbound pickup truck. He was between two nearby lighted crosswalks, the release said.
Sanchez died at the crash scene.
The unidentified 21-year-old driver of the pickup truck and his 16-year-old passenger were uninjured, the release said.
The investigation continues.
