Dunja

Tucson Sector Border Patrol agents are continuing a weeklong search for one of its canine that went missing during a tracking operation.

Dunja, 4, is a fawn-colored Belgian Malinois that got lost Feb. 20 after it separated from his handler in remote desert on the Tohono O'odham Nation near Papago Farms, according to a Border Patrol statement.

Papago Farms is southwest of Sells near the U.S.-Mexico border.

Dunja separated from his handler during tracking operations, according to the statement.

Dunja has been with the federal agency since August 2016.

Anyone with information regarding Dunja's whereabouts is asked to call the Tucson Sector Border Patrol at 1-877-872-7435.Β
