A brush fire has destroyed one structure about 9 miles northwest of Douglas, officials said Monday.

The Adobe Fire was spotted Monday afternoon burning in grass, and it has spread to about 100 acres. There are about 50 personnel fighting the fire, including one helicopter.

One structure has been lost and several more are threatened. The Cochise County Sheriff's Office has evacuated several residences as a precaution.

The cause of the fire is unknown at this time.
