A six-month investigation of methamphetamine trafficking has led to a string of criminal charges against two Sierra Vista residents.
Amanda Davis, 22, and Joshua Grant 32, were arrested Monday by Cochise County Sheriff deputies, the sheriff's office said in a news release Wednesday.
Davis was arrested when she was pulled over for a traffic infraction at East Fry Boulevard and South Lenzer Avenue in Sierra Vista and drug-sniffing dog detected the odor of narcotics in her vehicle.
Grant was arrested few hours later during a raid at a house in the 200 block of Peterson Street in Sierra Vista. The house "had a sophisticated security system and was fortified making entry into the residence extremely difficult," the news release said.
Davis is charged with possession of a dangerous drug; possession of a dangerous drug for sale; transportation of a dangerous drug for sale; use of an electronic device during a drug offense and five counts of possession of drug paraphernalia.
Grant is charged with two counts of possession of a dangerous drug; two counts of possession of a dangerous drug for sale; transportation of a dangerous drug for sale; 12 counts of possession of drug paraphernalia; marijuana possession; use of an electronic device during a drug offense and use of a building to sell drugs.
The investigation is ongoing.
