Business awards earned in Southern Arizona

UBS: Two financial advisors for UBS in Tucson, Matthew Meyer and Aaron Rottenstein, were named to the Forbes Best-in-State Wealth Advisors list. The rankings, compiled by SHOOK Research, use data, including interviews, financial data and compliance records, to rank candidates nominated by their firms.

El Rio Health: Dr. Sudha Nagalingam of El Rio Health has been named a Fellow by the Infectious Diseases Society of America. Fellowship in IDSA is one of the highest honors in the field of infectious diseases. It recognizes distinguished physicians and scientists from the United States and around the world who have achieved professional excellence and provided significant service to the profession.

Nagalingam is an infectious diseases physician at El Rio Health while also serving as the medical director for the Ryan White Clinic, which serves 1,700 patients living with HIV in Southern AZ. She also provides infectious diseases support for migrant populations, patients unstably housed and incarcerated patients.

TAFEF 2024 Hall of Achievement: The Tucson Advertising Federation Educational Foundation (TAFEF) has named the honorees for the 2024 Hall of Achievement event. The event, on Sept. 5, will bring together advertising industry leaders, professionals and supporters.

Receiving the 2024 Silver Medal Award will be Kerry Stratford, president of Caliber Group. The honor recognizes those who have made outstanding contributions to advertising and have been active in furthering the industry’s standards, creative excellence and responsibility in areas of social concern.

Bill Hussey, senior account executive at Clear Channel Outdoor, is the 2024 Ad Professional of the Year, which recognizes marketing and advertising professionals who have led, mentored and inspired others to succeed.

Mitch Sigsworth, director of sales and business development at Cox Media, and Darrell Durham, retired marketing director at the Arizona Daily Star, will be inducted into the Tucson Advertising Hall of Fame, which recognizes the best among local industry professionals who have led, mentored and inspired others to succeed in the industry.

The Next Generation Award honoree is Bekah Collins, vice president at Good News Communications. This award recognizes advertising professionals 40 and younger who are making a significant impact on the industry through leadership, career achievements and personal qualities that also inspire others to excel.

Right at Home: Ellen Butterbaugh, a caregiver from Right at Home Tucson, has been named the 2024 Right at Home West Region Caregiver of the year. For more than 12 years, Butterbaugh has provided care and support to seniors and adults with disabilities in the Tucson community.
