D-BAT Baseball & Softball Academy has leased 18,400 square feet of retail space at 5975 E. Broadway for its second Tucson location.

The landlord, AC Tucson Retail LLC, was represented by Aaron LaPrise, with Picor. Roy Drachman, with Roy Drachman Realty Co., represented the tenant.

The new location is expected to open in early 2025.

Its first spot, at 4439 N. Oracle Road, opened in 2018 in the former Golfsmith space across from the Tucson Mall.

D-BAT Baseball & Softball Academy is expected to open early next year at 5975 E. Broadway. It’ll be its second Tucson location.

D-Bat was founded in 1998 and began franchising in 2008. Today, there are more than 170 locations across the country.

  • The Pima County Recorder’s Office leased 14,902 square feet at Valencia Tech Park, 3000 E. Valencia Road. Isaac Figueroa, with Larsen Baker, handled the transaction.
  • Hibbett Sports leased 7,500 square feet at 9610 E. 22nd St. for a second Tucson store. Pete Villaescusa and Jesse Peron, with CBRE, represented the landlord, ATT-OST Marketplace LLC and OST-II Marketplace LLC. Paul Bartlett, of Axiom Retail Advisors, represented the tenant.
  • Nico’s Mexican Food Inc. leased 2,160 square feet of retail space at Continental Ranch Plaza, 7850 N. Silverbell Road, from Cortaro Continental LLC. Natalie Furrier and Greg Furrier, with Picor, represented the landlord. Juan Pantoja, with Grimm Commercial, represented the tenant.
  • Excavating & Elite Services LLC leased 1,802 square feet of office space at Ajo/Evans Business Park, 3819 S. Evans Blvd., from FJM Merced Associates LP. Alex Demeroutis, Andrew Keim and Denisse Angulo-Badilla, with Picor, handled the lease.
  • Heritage Plaza, on the northwest corner of Ina and Shannon roads, has two new tenants. Ready Set Repair LLC leased 1,800 square feet for a shop that offers electronics repair and related services. Shaheen Enterprises LLC, dba 24/7 Smoke Shop, leased 900 square feet for a smoke shop. Isaac Figueroa, with Larsen Baker, represented the landlord, Alturas Heritage Plaza LLC.
