The former Bookmans in central Tucson will soon be stocked with a different resale option.

Midtown Mercantile Merchants, which sells antique and vintage furniture, clothing, jewelry and records, has leased the 13,548-square-foot space at Rancho Center, 3330 E. Speedway.

With over 100 vendors, the marketplace will close its current location at 4443 E. Speedway at the end of March and reopen in the new spot in April.

The landlord, Larsen Baker, was represented by its broker Isaac Figueroa and Julian Willets, with ReMax Commercial, represented the tenant.

Tami Mitchell, the owner of Midtown Mercantile Merchants, said she is eager to increase foot traffic at the new location.

The 8-year-old business will celebrate its anniversary when it reopens at Rancho Center.

β€œOur goal is to repurpose, recycle and reuse everything,” Mitchell said. β€œWe don’t want to contribute to the landfill.”

The new store will also have fitting rooms that are decorated to encourage selfies.

Mitchell plans to use the basement of the shop as an event center for wine tastings or art exhibitions.
