An Alaska Airlines flight taxis to runway past the new tower at Tucson International Airport in September 2021.

Tucson travelers will have a new option to fly to Sacramento this winter as Alaska Airlines plans to launch a daily, seasonal nonstop flight to the California capital from Tucson International Airport on Jan. 6, 2025.

The seasonal service will operate daily through April 21 and will be one of six daily departures on Alaska Airlines from TIA.

Alaska also plans to resume seasonal daily nonstops from TIA to Everett, Washington, and to Portland in October, and its TIA nonstop to Orange County John Wayne Airport in the winter, according to TIA.

Alaska’s Tucson-Sacramento flight can be booked through Alaskaair.com or at Flytucson.com.

The airline plans to fly the route with 76-seat, narrow-body Embraer ERJ 175 jets, with one-way fares starting at $99, Alaska’s website shows.
