What to know before going to the UA commencement ceremony tonight

The University of Arizona's Spring Commencement Ceremony is Friday, May 11, at 7:30 p.m.
Here's everything you need to know before heading to the ceremony.

UA President Robert Robbins will be conferring approximately 5,900 degrees for spring graduates at the 154th University of Arizona Commencement.
Ray Mabus — the former secretary of the Navy, governor of Mississippi and U.S. ambassador to Saudi Arabia — will give the keynote speech.
What: The University of Arizona's May Commencement Ceremony
When: Friday, May 11th at 7:30 p.m.
Where: Arizona Stadium, 1 National Championship Dr.
Individual college and department ceremonies are held separately.
Oops..you didn't get a ticket

Don't sweat it. Admission is free for the public and no ticket is needed to entry.
However, be aware that no outside containers, large bags, backpacks, or parcels will be permitted into the stadium. Attendees may bring items in a clear bag.

It's going to be hot and windy

The highs in Tucson are only 99 degrees today, but even though it won't be triple-digits, make sure to hydrate and press appropriately for the event!
The west side of the stadium under the skyboxes is shady as soon as doors open. Head here to look at the UA's map.
And most importantly, drink lots of water! Water will be available for free and for purchase at the stadium. You are allowed to bring in your own new, unopened plastic water bottles. Open bottles will not be permitted.
