A man struck by a car early this month after running into an intersection in midtown has died, Tucson police say.
Hasa Johnson, 38, was struck shortly before midnight Jan. 3 at East 22nd Street and South Craycroft Road, Tucson police said Wednesday in a news release.
Johnson was in a marked crosswalk and stepped in front of a 2003 Mazda 6 that had a green traffic signal, the release said.
The driver, a 64-year-old man, stayed at the crash scene. Police say he was not impaired.
On Wednesday, the Office of the Medical Examiner notified police that Johnson had died a day earlier from his injuries.
