Pima County sheriff's deputies were involved in a shooting Friday night northwest of Tucson, the department said.
Deputies were responding to a check welfare call in the 7000 block of North Prorodeo Road, near West Picture Rocks and North Sandario roads, where they located Nadine Bosma allegedly armed with a gun.
Bosma, 48, allegedly fired the weapon after a being confronted by deputies, the department said. Bosma suffered a non-life threatening gunshot wound in the incident.
No deputies were hurt in the incident, the department said. No other suspects are at large, officials said.
No other details were immediately released.
