One man was killed and another was wounded in an overnight shooting at a mobile home park on Tucson's south side, police say.

The shooting was reported about 12:30 a.m. Thursday at the park in the 5200 block of South Park Avenue, south of East Irvington Road, Tucson police said in a news release.

Officers arrived to find Alexis Pesqueira Martinez, 27, fatally wounded. A second unidentified 30-year-old man was critically wounded and taken to the hospital, the release said.

Police said they believe several people fled the area before officers arrived.

No further details were immediately released Thursday.

The shooting marked the 46th homicide in Tucson so far this year.

The city had the same number of homicides on Oct. 10, 2023.
