A 26-year-old man has been arrested in connection with a fatal shooting on Sunday at an apartment complex on the city's north side, Tucson police say.

Gilbert Rodriguez was arrested on suspicion of first-degree murder in the shooting death of Alvy Ndayishimiye, 27, the Tucson Police Department said Tuesday in a news release.

Officers went to the apartment complex in the 3500 block of North Estrella Avenue near, near North Stone Avenue and East Prince Road, after reports of gunfire, according to the news release.

The body of Ndayishimiye was found in the courtyard, the release said.

Ndayishimiye was arguing with other guests at complex when he was shot, the release said.

Rodriguez was arrested Monday and booked into the Pima County jail
