Crime scene

Tucson police are seeking information on an assault that resulted in the death of a 24-year-old man in April.

Matthew Rubink was found March 27 in 9300 block of East Pikes Peak Drive, near East 22nd Street and South Harrison Road, with signs of blunt force trauma, police said in a news release. Rubink died at the hospital on April 22.

On the morning of March 27, Rubink was in the area of South Cherry Avenue and East Broadway when he was assaulted by an unknown man, police say. After the attack Rubink complained of head pain and eventually made his way to the Pikes Peak location, investigators say.

Anyone with information is asked to call 911 or 88-CRIME, the anonymous tip line. A $2,500 reward is being offered for information that leads to an arrest in the case.
