A 78-year-old woman has died more than two weeks after she was involved in a two-vehicle crash on the city's south side, Tucson police say.
The crash occurred about 12:30 p.m. March 11, at West Irvington Road and South Calle Santa Cruz, Tucson police said Thursday in a news release.
Kathleen Dianne Swanston was driving a gray Buick SUV east on Irvington Road and was struck by a westbound Chevrolet SUV while making a left onto Calle Santa Cruz, the release said.
There was no indication either driver was impaired at the time of the crash, police said.
Swanston was taken to the hospital with life-threatening injuries. A 77-year-old woman who was a passenger in the Chevrolet also was seriously injured in the wreck.
Police were notified Wednesday that Swanston died.
The crash remains under investigation.
